Front-End Developer Job Description

We are looking for an experienced front-end web developer. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the web front-end of many of our existing projects as well as new projects. The candidate must be experienced in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and must have used them continuously for the past five years. The candidate must also have experience in using front-end frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap), APIs (e.g. Google Maps, YouTube, Facebook), and libraries (e.g. jQuery). The candidate must also have an artistic talent for building intuitive and stylish user interfaces. Graphic design background is a plus.

Required Skills

• 3+ Years of experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• A solid knowledge in JavaScript.
• You should know how to manipulate the DOM using nothing but pure JavaScript (jQuery does NOT count).
• You should know how to use OOP in JavaScript.
• You should be familiar with common graphic design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or similar tools.
• You should be good at designing and building user interfaces.
• You should know how to work with Bootstrap and jQuery.
• You should know how to use and work with APIs
• Knowledge in Mapping APIs such as Google Maps is a plus.
• Knowledge in Linux operating systems (specifically Debian Linux distributions such as Ubuntu) is a plus. If you are using Linux as your main operating system, it is a big plus.
• You should know how to use version control systems such as Git (Git the system not GitHub the website).
• You should be able to read and write in English comfortably.
