Flight Dispatcher

Department: Operations Control Center/ Flight Dispatch
Reports To: Head of Operations Control Center

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supports the flight crew in the preparation of the Operational flight plan while maximizing payload available through efficient planning and use of fuel (fuel tankering, cost index), weather information, ATC requirements etc., and to obtain the optimum route for every flight

• Prepares ATC flight plan and communicates them to the appropriate authorities

• Provides the flight crew with all information required both before and during flight that is relevant to safe conduct of the flight.

• Ensures that a standard briefing to crew is provided, covering all relevant information to the flight, including alternates, aeronautical and meteorological particularities, airplane operational status and station specifications that are likely to affect the scheduled flight or a possible diversion;

• Ensures that proper liaison and coordination with all departure and arrival aerodromes for adequate monitoring of the operation (OFP, ATC flight plan, …), weather, NOTAMs, airports slots, and any other relevant dispatch requirement.

Requirements

• LY-CAA Flight Dispatcher license (valid)
• At least 05 years experience as an Airline Flight Dispatcher
• Perfect Knowledge of Aviation Operational Regulation
• Good IT knowledge and skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a stressful and ever changing environment
• Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) is essential for this role.
