Overview of position
Role objectives . RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Assist in the implementation of project activities, including overall planning, coordinating, and distributing Non-Food Items (NFI), emergency shelter, and other related humanitarian response in the Libya operations.

2. Carry out regular field visits to monitor and follow through the distribution process at migrants Detention Centres (DCs) under DCIM in western region, and timely delivery and handover of items to the selected migrants in the DCs.

3. Ensure field response to all SAR (Search And Rescue) activities to provide the required support to migrants rescued-intercepted at sea at DP (Disembarkation Points) in Tripoli, to distribute the relevant assistance items (Snacks) to all migrants while following the required process, during and outside working hours.

4. Ensure full and proper documentation is submitted with every activity (or distribution), including but not limited to, Request Letter, Needs Assessment, Beneficiary lists, Narrative reports, photos, Consent form, and any other program-related documents.

5. Gather data from the field related to needs assessments, distributions, and evaluations, and collect the pre-distribution assessment forms for the IDPs and migrants to be reflected in the planned distribution.

6. Assist with joint activities with other organizations and IOM units for migrants inside and outside Detention Centres and for IDPs and host communities, and ensure proper planning, implementation, and submission of relevant documentation by participating units.

7. Travel frequently to the field, both inside Tripoli as well as outside Tripoli and hosting detention centers or IDPs, with overnight stay when required and when required, complete distributions during emergencies during out of office hours.

8. Support preparing the visibility materials and collect all the photos of relevant activities, including the interest stories and quotes from the beneficiaries and government officials during the distribution.

9. Respond to any immediate calls for support on rescue operations, ensure regular attendance to SAR operations at DPs, and provide lifesaving SNFI assistance.

10. Support the DAU unit in maintaining updated and sufficient stock at each DP, including support to preposition stock, and support in counting the remaining stock at each DP.

11. Perform any other related responsibilities, as assigned by the unit management.
