Economic Security Assistant
In Misrata Sub Delegation
JOB DESCRIPTION.
Purpose:
Economic Security daily worker carries out basic field and office work related to implementing and monitoring the ICRC’s economic security (EcoSec) programme under the supervision and guidance of the EcoSec team.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Functional responsibilities
Functional Responsibilities:
- Contributes to data entry and verification tasks related to the assessment, implementation and monitoring of the EcoSec programmes in the area of responsibility.
- Participates in providing assistance to the population (registration, aid distribution, etc.).
- Supports the department, if needed, during trips into the field.
- Enters data into databases. This includes assessment, registration and monitoring data in line with the institutional guidelines for data storage, processing and confidentiality.
- Provides administrative support as needed.
Certifications / Education required
- High school diploma, technical education or professional degree in a related field.
• Intermediate level (spoken and written) of English. Native knowledge of Arabic.
Professional Experience required
1-year experience in a similar field.
Relationship
Internally, interacts mainly with colleagues at the local level.
Externally, interacts with local contacts (members of the population, community leaders, local authorities, NGOs, etc.) upon request from their direct supervisor.
Scope & Impact
- Geographical remit: Misrata sub-delegation.
General Duties and Code of Conduct
- Is aware of the delegation objectives and activities
- Handles general and individual information accurately and with confidentiality;
- Understands the three components of Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement.
- Applies the security rules at all times.
- Respects and observes the staff regulations of the ICRC in Libya.
