Job Description
Title: Database Officer
The Database officer will be in charge of the timely and accurate data entry under the direct supervision of the M&E officer.
Specific tasks and responsibilities:
- Assist the Protection and Case Management Team Leader in the overall information management of the project implementation;
- Create, maintain and conduct data entry to the electronic database to systematize all incoming information;
- Maintain (or follow up of respective project focal points) of the filing of the means of verification for the project’s implementation (scanning and filing of attendance sheets and distribution lists)
- Carry out timely statistical reporting as required by the projects and directed by the supervisor;
- Provide specific data needed for ad hoc analysis as required by the supervisor;
- Cross check data with other programme staff to ensure that reporting generated by the projects implementation team accurately reflects the situation;
- Any other duties relating to nature of the job as may be requested by the Supervisor for the best development of Cesvi activities
Duty station: Misrata
Responsible to: He/She will report directly to the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer
Job Requirements
Minimum requirements
High school degree or equivalent
Proven experience as data entry clerk
Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch-typing system is
strongly preferred
Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and
spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
Working knowledge of office equipment and computer
hardware and peripheral devices
Basic understanding of databases
Good command of English both oral and written and
customer service skills
Great attention to detail
Good organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with minimum supervision
