- MAIN OBJECTIVE
- Ensure completion of all activities related to protection data entry and data management into the mission databases, ensuring data quality/reliability, according to MSF protocols and maintaining confidentiality while producing the appropriate, updated documents for the protection team in order to support decision making processes
- MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

In coordination with the protection field team and acting as a protection data base focal point:
· Performing data entry and supervision of all protection cases into select databases program and creating appropriate reports, providing data for project development purposes. · Ensuring that appropriate documentation has been received (Protection Need Assessment (PNA), UNHCR registration, etc.). Ensuring that all data entry processes occur in a timely and efficient manner. · Ensuring all data collected and entered to databases is consistently accurate and complete. Being responsible for ensuring that quality control queries of the database are followed up, ensuring identification of data entry errors and corrections. Immediately reporting to the supervisor, any anomalies in the database · In collaboration with the field team, ensuring the implementation of the case management system and the workflow · Communicating regularly with the PAM and the Protection Supervisors on proper registration of cases, proper filling of the various forms, clarifying queries, obtaining missing information and correcting errors, ensuring they have ongoing sufficient supplies of necessary hardcopy data collection forms · In charge of the filing / archiving systems (digitalized and/or paper) of all cases. In addition, in charge of the regular updates of the Protection Shared Point · Providing response to the training needs of the team (“data base and data management” capacity building) and provide technical support · Ensuring the implementation of protection principles in all actions and the compliance to all issues related to data protection in line with MSF standards · Through a transversal approach, Systematize the use of an interdisciplinary monitoring tool by project teams to consolidate information collected by protection, medical and ops teams to analyze the context and the protection needs / trend · Further develop MSF’s sources of information/KI by notably increasing the analysis of secondhand information · In charge of the compilation and preparation of regular reports / lists and providing detailed information to the team (to ensure the external weekly, monthly referrals) · Assist the protection team with any ad hoc tasks and activities as needed. · • Experience with Data Collection Tools: Expertise in software such as, MS Access, ODK Systems such as (KOBO , REDCAP ) • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for managing and analyzing data. • Data Entry Skills: Proven experience with data entry, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data collected • Data Protection Standards: Knowledge of GDPR, UNHCR data protection protocols, or other relevant standards. • Protection Needs and Humanitarian Protocols: Familiarity with protection assessments, case management systems, and protection frameworks • Data Quality Control: Experience in identifying and correcting data entry errors and ensuring data accuracy and completeness. • Communication & Coordination: Strong skills in liaising between field teams, ensuring documentation is accurate, and troubleshooting issues in real-time. • Reporting: Ability to compile data into comprehensive reports for project development and analysis of protection trends. |
- REQUIREMENTS
Education | Essential proven computer literacy, secondary education or qualifications either in administration, data entry or in statistics. Degree in Information and Technology (IT) desirable |
Experience | Essential working experience of at least one year with another humanitarian organization in the same area of expertise. |
Languages | Mission working language and local languages essential (English and Arabic). |
