Data Analysis Assistant (DTM)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Context:
Under the overall supervision of the Programme Coordinator (Data Management) and direct supervision of the DTM Reporting Officer, as part of the DTM and Research unit at IOM Libya the DTM Data Analysis Assistant will perform the following duties:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data Cleaning and preparation.
- Support the design and preparation for surveys and assessment tools.
- Conduct data analysis to prepare summary statistical reports.
- Prepare data visualizations and graphics for reporting.
- Prepare and maintain DTM dashboards as needed.
- Follow-up on relevant data collection activities with field colleagues on a regular basis.
- Generate reminders for DTM field team on data collection targets.
- Draft scripts and program to collect and organize online data.
- Support other DTM and research activities in data collection and programme implementation as needed.
- Support delivery of DTM and research trainings to enumerators.
- Support review and revisions of DTM and research methodologies and questionnaires through liaison with field teams.
- Generate recommendations on new data and research initiatives.
- Perform other such duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree on Engineering, Data Sciences, Computer Sciences, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or other related subjects from an accredited institution with minimum three years of relevant work experience, or
- High School diploma from an accredited institution with minimum five years of relevant work experience.
Experience:
Previous experience in an international, humanitarian/development organization and/or in capacity building initiatives is an advantage.
Skills:
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds and respect for diversity and gender equality;
- Strong Computer skills especially in Ms Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to pay close attention to details and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with a team of colleagues.
- Time management and planning for accounting cycles.
- Able to set up internal record tracking.
