Purpose/Objectives

The Community Outreach Worker will be responsible to ensure rarly detection and referral of child protection cases and children at risk, referrals, community mobilization, service mapping, information dissemination on services provided in the Baity Centre, and implement the outreach activities.

Responsibilities/duties:

● Support the development of community networks/initiative (identification, establishment) in the areas of intervention

● Organize relevant awareness campaigns according to the needs identified

● Work in close cooperation with community volunteers to organize awareness sessions for different target groups on protection, MHPSS, social cohesion related topics

● Promote and facilitate the community focal points and volunteers’ engagement in the activities

Qualification/level requirements

Minimum requirements

● Hold a BA in social work – social sciences

● At least 1 year of professional experience working with local organization on child protection related issues

● Demonstrable experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with different sectoral counterparts/referral pathways

● Very strong interpersonal skills: strong communication and diplomatic skills

Other requirements:

● Native Arabic – Good written and spoken English.

● Strong team spirit, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment

● Excellent observation and analytical skills and capacity

● Attention to detail and structured way of approaching tasks
