the main goals of the job:
- Carry out and supervise site construction activities and project deliverables related to civil.
- Structural and geotechnical engineering.
- Complying with applicable engineering and HSE standards, codes, specifications and regulations, in order to achieve projects and assets objectives at site.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with required scope of work and documentation for site activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications and regulations for engineering, construction, QA/QC and HSE.
- Ensure application of the approved Drawings, specifications m procedures and method statements for the project site activities.
- Ensure all drawings, specifications and procedures used at site are approved and up-to-date.
- Carry out and supervise the engineering and construction of civil site activities including foundations, supports, structures, industrial and civil buildings, roads, landing strip designs, etc.
- Carry out and supervise the process of facilities and well location sites setting out and survey activities.
- Carry out and supervise the inspection of existing structures to detect and analyze structural and foundations issues, defining and implementing solutions.
- Maintain records of daily activities on site and all other records as directed by Applicable Codes requirements and Construction Supervisor instructions.
- Report to the construction supervisor the daily and weekly percentages of work achieved at site.
- Generate list of defects, supervise and monitor progress of rectified works and insure all defects are rectified as per technical requirements and consultant’s advice.
- Coordinate with site Operation and HSE teams to consolidate their requirements through Construction supervisor.
- To Carry out site visits, inspections and testing of materials where and when requested and to keep a written/photographic record of these documents.
- Prepare site weekly and monthly construction reports and review of engineering technical documents when requested.
- Be able to carry out the following activities when requested:
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, MAH, Risk Analyses and Incident Investigation.
- Support procurement activities, including preparing or reviewing of material requisitions, vendors list, technical evaluation of offers, QA/QC inspection and test plans. Provide interface between equipment and materials vendors and engineering contractor and participate during factory acceptance tests. Review quality and completeness of vendor documentation.
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning and start-up.
- Provide support to operation and maintenance such as required.
- Define or review the scope of geotechnical and geohazard soil studies, earth movement, leveling and foundation requirements, including needs for potable water supply, storage, treatment, distribution, drainage and sewage systems and other civil activities.
Scope of direct supervision:
- Construction contractors and relevant disciplines .
Job Requirements:
- Engineering Degree/High Diploma: Civil Engineering
- Education Level: B.Sc./High Diploma in Engineering or higher.
- Languages: Good in English
- Over 10 years of experience in engineering and construction activities.
Skills and Abilities
- Good knowledge of Supervision of construction activities.
- General knowledge on site studies and surveys to input project activities.
- Knowledge on construction industry applicable standards and local regulations.
- General knowledge on text processing and engineering drafting/drawing software: M.s Office, AutoCAD … etc.
- Good knowledge on HSE, QA/QC
