Chief of PartyDemocracy International (DI) is seeking to hire a Chief of Party (COP) for the anticipated five-year Engagement with Voters for Equitable Representation Activity (EVER) in Libya funded by USAID. The goal of the activity is to improve the effectiveness of Key Libyan institutions and build the capacity of a diverse set of Libyan actors to advance the democratic political transition, including national and local elections, and support a stronger more inclusive democratic culture in Libya. The Activity improve the capacity of the High National Election Commission and Libyan civil society to engage with Libyan communities across the country to engage in political processes at the national and subnational levels. The COP will lead programmatic, operational, and administrative activities of the activity and will report to DI’s Director of Program Management. The COP will be responsible for developing a strong vision and implementation of the program with an evidence-based approach, integrating innovative strategies, and delivering on all objectives of the project. They will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of all staff. The COP will interact regularly with program staff, USAID Mission staff, civil society organizations, government officials particularly at the HNEC, other donors, and all program stakeholders. This will be a full-time position may based in Tripoli, Libya or Tunis, Tunisia depending on the security situation and project’s needs.
