Job Description
Cesvi has been one of the first INGOs intervening in Libya, as soon as the Arab Spring begun in 2011 and is carrying out a Humanitarian Protection Program in Tripoli and Misrata within different settings, included Child Protection program since 2016.
The project “Life Saving Assistance to refugees and asylum seekers in Libya” funded by UNHCR,
intends to promote a favorable protection environment for refugees, asylum seekers and irregular
migrants in Tripoli through Protection monitoring and referrals to targeted services.
The CBI Supervisor will be in charge of coordinating and supervise the Protection Monitoring and the CBI Team.
Specific tasks and responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor the implementation of Cash based intervention in the CDC;
- Provide the Cash officers with technical guidance, capacity building and direction for effective planning, implementation and monitoring of the activities;
- Being focal point for Cash based intervention external and internal referrals;
- Being responsible for the organization of Panels for Regular Cash Assistance, with the support of the CDC Manager;
- Support with the draft of SOPs;
- Liase with UNHCR for the approval of Emergency Cash Assistance cases;
- Refer households to visits for eligibility to services to the Outreach team;
- Ensure a smooth referral pathway between the Protection and the Cash Team;
- Liase with Administration for transport of cash and relevant documents;
- Update relevant databases and tools and supervise the data updated by Cash Officers;
- Conduct weekly coordination meetings with the Cash Officers and the other supervisors;
- Drafting weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and review meetings minutes drafted from staff members;
- Respect Cesvi’s Standard Operating Procedures and Code of Conduct for the Confidentiality and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment;
- Represent Cesvi in a professional manner in meetings and ensure effective cooperation with local partners and other relevant actors;
- Coordinate with other relevant stakeholders in order to ensure coordination, implementation of common standards in the field and consideration of protection issues;
- Assist in performing other tasks as requested by the CDC Manager and the Project Manager.
Duty station: Tripoli
Responsible to: S/he will report directly to the CDC Manager and functionally to the Project Manager.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
University degree in Economics, social administration, social sciences, development studies, or a relevant field.
At least 1 year experience with UN or Non‐Governmental organizations
Experience in handling cases is an asset.
Trainings in CBI are an asset.
Good understanding of Protection Principles and Case Management standards
Good command of written and spoken English.
Good communication skills and ability to conduct training and awareness campaigns
Good computer skills especially Microsoft packages.
Good organizational and management skills.
Ability to work with minimum supervision
