Account Manager

An established company in the Oil & Gas services sector is seeking an experienced Account Manager to lead and oversee key client accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the oilfield services industry, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage both technical and commercial aspects of client engagements.

This position will be reporting to the Sales Manager and open to local candidates only.

Main Responsibilities:

• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities (e.g., RFQs, RFPs, tenders).
• Expand relationships with existing clients by proposing new solutions and services.
• Negotiate contracts to maximize company profitability.
• Develop and maintain strategic, long-lasting relationships with key clients.
• Prepare high-quality technical and commercial proposals in response to client needs.
• Track and forecast key account performance (e.g., quarterly and annual sales).
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper delivery of services as per industry standards.
• Communicate effectively with on-site teams and conduct field visits when necessary.
• Provide technical support to clients, ensuring alignment with their production goals.
• Oversee budget, OPEX, CAPEX, P&L, and cash flow for assigned accounts.
• Support receivables management and maintain timely payment collections.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks to maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Manage and coach a multidisciplinary team to achieve defined objectives.
• Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and foster professional development.
• Promote a positive work environment and maintain team motivation.

Required background, skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas oilfield services industry.
• Experience working with major Oilfield Services (OFS) companies (e.g., Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Weatherford, Halliburton) is highly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of oilfield equipment/services and proven commercial acumen.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
