The position will be based in Misrata

The ICT Specialist is responsible for updating and maintaining ICT service, infrastructure, equipment and providing service support in ICRC offices in Misrata. She/he is the focal point for all the internal and external interlocutors including service providers (internet, phone, etc)

Main Responsibilities:

Offers 1st and 2nd level service desk support to users in Misrata and other ICRC offices in Libya .
Installs, updates and maintains ICT and Telecom infrastructure of all ICRC offices in Libya.
Maintain ICT Services, System and Infrastructure:
Briefs, advises and trains end-users on the ICRC’s ICT systems.
Manage service accounts and invoice payments
Manages ICT stock and inventory database
Ensures that global/country-level policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
Drafts, updates and share technical and historical knowledge and ICT documenting procedures and with the team

Required background, skills and competencies:

Excellent organizational skills
Some degree in IT or management (Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer science or similar field).
Good ICT knowledge and interest
2 years of experience in IT, administration, management or telecommunications
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic
Capacity to integrate and implement ICRC policies and procedures
Service minded with proven organizational skills and ability to set priorities and deliver
Eager to learn and adapt
Can work independently with minimum supervision, is good at assessing and analyzing
Good communicator and listener, can express own views and ideas in a synthetic manner
Ability to work in a team
Interest for humanitarian activities (especially ICRC’s)
Able to travel frequently
