BACKGROUND
The Libya Local Governance and Civil Society (LGCS) / Taqarib Project aims to enhance the ability of partner municipalities to effectively conduct micro polling and service assessments. A key focus is placed on providing them with access to comprehensive information regarding micro polling techniques and service evaluation methods. This information empowers CSO members to actively participate in decision-making processes related to good governance, transparency and oversight, accountability, women and youth engagement, and municipal service delivery. Using inclusive good governance and civic participation leadership training, the project educates and engages CSO members about these specific topics to increase their capacity and effectiveness.
OBJECTIVES ( SCOPE )
The objective of this training is to strengthen local governance by empowering local leaders and communities. The training will focus on:
- Equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to conduct effective micro polling research.
- To provide hands-on training on the use of micro polling tools and software.
- eEnhance participants’ ability to analyze and interpret micro polling data.
- Train participants how to Transfer Data to infographic.
COURSE OUTLINE:
The training will be implemented over the period of five days, each day will include 7-8 training hours per day. Below is the suggested structure for the training, however it is subject to change based on both the analysis and observation of the trainer/s:

3.Civil society and local governments
4.Micro-polling and advocacy
- micro polling tools and software
5.Designing strong micro-polls
6.Developing the Script
7.Fieldwork Planning and Implementation (How, When & Where)
8.Confidentiality and Consent
9.Managing Data Collection
- Analyzing the Data collected and transfer to infographic form
11.Sharing the Data collected
TASKS (PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS)
The Micro Polling Research Trainer will
- Develop a comprehensive training curriculum covering all aspects of micro polling research.
- Conduct one training sessions for 3 days.
- Provide training materials, including handouts, presentations, and software guides.
- Offer practical exercises and case studies to reinforce learning.
- Assess participants’ understanding through quizzes and practical assignments.
- Provide feedback and support to participants throughout the training period.
- Submit a final report on the training including:
- Training and presentation materials and handout Arabic and English
- Breakdown of training days agenda
- Note on attendance.
- Pre- and post-analysis for each group separately
- Outcome of training
- Photos

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-5 years of progressive professional experience working in the field of raising awareness and capacity preferably for Civil Society Sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in management or equivalent experience in Micro polling and research or Monitoring and evaluation .
- Basic knowledge and understanding of local governance law and policies in Libya.
- Local or international training experience is highly preferred.
- Basic knowledge and understanding Micro polling and research.
- Understanding the local context of CSOs.
