Job Brief 

The Chemical Sales Engineer is responsible for the sales and marketing of specialty chemicals to oil sector, market variety of industrial and commercial customers. This includes researching potential customers, identifying their needs, presenting products and services, negotiating contracts items, terms and conditions, and closing sales. The Chemical Sales Engineer is also responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, providing technical advice to customers, and promoting the company’s products and services.

Job Description

  • Develop a deep understanding of chemical products and applications.
  • Provide technical advice to customers on product usage.
  • Achieve Sales in Chemical, Petrochemical within the oil sector and other Industries.
  • Generate new enquiries, work out technical solutions, offers, finalize & execute orders.
  • Track with the client from order execution till the payment is collected.
  • Attend bidding and final negotiations with customers.
  • Identify new customers for existing/new products and develop plans to support the growth of existing customers.
  • Bring the new business by targeting new market segments in the field of Chemicals and Oil and Gas Industries.
  • Initiate & identify current and future customer needs and convert them to revenue.
  • Analyzing marketing trends and tracking competitor’s activities and providing valuable inputs for the prospect supply of new line of business.
  • Identify potential competitors and processing technology and consolidate them into business information useful to convert it into revenue.

Qualifications

  • Communications and Working Relationships
  • Good Verbal and written Communication Skills.
  • Good Knowledge of Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.
  • Good Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • 2-4 Years of experience in Sales for Chemicals and in the Oil & Gas Industries
  • Capable of achieving high value orders.
  • Chemistry science graduate (Or) Chemical Engineer.
  • MBA (Marketing) from reputed university will be an asset
  • Physical Requirements of the Job and visit customers
  • Holder of a Driving License and good working vehicle
