NURSES

Projects based in Zuwara, Misrata, Bani Walid, Tripoli – Punctual replacements

Main Purpose

Providing nursing care, treatment and follow-up of patients, according to doctors’ prescriptions, protocols applied in service and universal hygiene standards/precautions, in order to ensure the quality and continuity of care for the targeted population.

Main Accountabilities

§ Assisting doctor(s) and medical team with patient care in the corresponding work locations (PHC Health center, Mobile clinic) according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures.

§ Perform all clinical nursing skills including the administration of preventative or therapeutic treatments as per the MSF nursing guidelines.

§ Participating in the triage, surveillance and monitoring of the patient and reporting any deterioration or problems with the patient immediately to the doctor. Assist the doctor with emergency management of the patient as required.

§ Ensure proper nutrition status of the patients, by identifying/screening malnutrition cases or patients in risk, plan an intervention in according to doctor’s prescription and evaluate the results.

§ Closely monitor the pharmacy consumption, doing regular inventory and identify expired items.

§ Ensure good record keeping and data collection.

§ Ensure, maintain and promote confidentiality regarding all information registered.

Requirements

Education	Essential recognized nurse degree/diploma
Experience	Desirable 2 years of previous experience. Experience with migrants and vulnerable populations desirable
Languages	Essential Arabic and English
