Position Purpose

Ensure Tafani’s financial stability and drive financial performance improvement, operational efficiency and effectiveness. Provide strategic, proactive and forward looking financial plans aligned to organization’s strategic goals for growth & profitability. Support CEO on company related activities and decisions collaborating across both the HQ and the Regional organizational units.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
 

1.      Direct the employees within the Finance unit, coordinate their tasks and continuously evaluate their performance and follow up on mismatches;

2.      Provide recommendations on the unit’s budget and manage the approved and allocated budget;

3.      Continuously monitor activities within the Finance unit with regards to compliance to legal requirements and internal regulations;

4.      Drives Tafani’s overall financial planning, budgeting, corporate finance, accounting, treasury, and overall financial performance and controls;

5.      Participate in major strategic discussions, providing recommendations and required key financial information to facilitate decision making process;

6.      Reports solid financial analysis to the CEO and Board of Directors in order to enable an effective target setting;

7.      Reviews due diligence on corporate financial dealings and ensures the designated checks are carried out;

8.      Monitors the financial performance of the company against planned financial goals to measure effectiveness of planning and implementation processes;

9.      Sets policy requirements for Finance ensuring a cohesive set of company policies and guidelines and financial risk mitigation strategies;

10.   Defines budgets, financial and management reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth;

11.   Establishes performance targets, and deploy measures to counter deviation;

12.   Ensure timely and correct production of financial data and budgeting process in compliance with international accounting standards;

13.   Ensure an efficient Treasury operations including cash management and bank relationships;

14.   Create an effective Finance function directing overall financial performance, with clear KPIs and documented processes.

Minimum Requirements
Education: ·         Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration required;

·         MBA or Masters Degree in Finance preferred;

·         Additional Finance related certifications (CFA, CA, CPA) preferred.

Work experience: ·         10+ years of financial management experience required of which at least 8+ years at senior director level in finance units in the telecommunications industry;

·         Experience in leading M&A processes is preferred;

·         Experience in Libya and/or in the MENA region preferred;

·         Exposure to international business is a plus.

Knowledge & Functional/Technical Skills: ·         Expert knowledge of international accounting standards and the Libyan accounting legislation;

·         Expert knowledge of the telecommunications industry specific accounting practices, as well as financial and operational KPIs and target development;

·         Expert knowledge of accounting, internal accounting, treasury and cash management;

·         Expert knowledge in financial engineering, capital expenditure budgeting and risk management;

·         Expert knowledge of revenue assurance in the telecommunications industry, anti fraud and risk management;

·         Expert knowledge of procurement policies and processes;

·         Advanced skills in identifying and implement key strategic initiatives and drive them to closure;

·         Advanced analytical abilities;

·         Advanced negotiation skills;

·         Intermediate project management skills;

·         Fluency in Arabic and English Languages required.
