Trainer – Tripoli

Key responsibilities:

The Trainer is responsible for the creation and update of content of training to be delivered online through INTERSOS Moodle platform and in person, and for the overall management of training, including pre and post tests.

Responsibilities/duties:

• Responsible for the development and design of quality training for INTERSOS field staff and project beneficiaries;
• Responsible for conducting in person training when possible;
• Set up completion timings in proportion to training length;
• Ensure training contents are in line with the Libyan Ministry of Education, INTERSOS and donors’ policies and requirements;
• Ensure timely correction of trainees’ assignments and tests and provide constructive ad hoc feedback.
• Support trainees during the course of training for any content-related inquiry;
• Monitor trainees submission of assignments and ensure timely correction;
• Monitor data regarding trainees progress in liaison with Moodle technician;
• Keep a clear record of trainees ensuring confidentiality of data;
• Provide final reports on students progress at the end of each training cycle in cooperation with the ICT Officer.

Requirements:

• University Degree in Education, vocational education, and training and/or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience with distance and/or flexible learning and designing education contents in online learning environments
• Knowledge of principles of curriculum design, including catch-up/remedial curricula
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Proactive and self-motivated to advance the use of technology for education
• Respect and non-discriminatory attitude
• Good communication and interpersonal skills: ability to speak fluently; expresses opinions, information, and key points of an argument clearly and respectfully
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Arabic and English
• Knowledge of French desirable
