Siemens Energy Generation Services delivers service solutions for gas turbines, steam turbines, generators to increase efficiency, reliability and availability throughout the entire lifecycle of customers’ assets. We partner with our customers to achieve optimal performance and success by offering maintenance services, modernizations and upgrades, operation and maintenance support, remote monitoring, lifetime extensions and digital services for the power plan
Your responsibilities?
As a Commissioning and Factfinding Engineer, you will perform technically demanding work on-site in a specialized area of Field Service for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines or Generators. Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is more difficult and complex. Refers only complex, unusual problems to others.
Lets talk about you!
· You should have performed commissioning, troubleshooting and fact finding tasks on gas turbines, steam turbines or generators and associated auxiliary systems. Applied advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently. Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems.
- Maintained optimum interaction with Project Leader, Design departments and customer representatives – Ensuring that all project related activities are planned and executed in accordance with QA standards and procedures, the relevant project documentation, as well as health and safety requirements.
- Performed commissioning and fact finding activities on gas turbines, steam turbines or generators in power station worldwide in accordance with Siemens Standards.
- Responsible for cost effective execution of work within allocated budget and time – This calls for effective planning aimed at optimal use of resources for maximum productivity.
- Support sales and planning departments in the preparation of tenders, quotations, time schedules and requirement lists.
- Participated in customer meetings and provide technical support during sales efforts.
- Identified potential delays and minimizes their impact. Supports claim management.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- A Libyan national with over 3 years of experience in engineering position, preferably Mechanical engineering, Potential to lead small team.
- Power plant maintenance experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to work abroad.
- Willingness to do shift work.
- Frequent travelling required.
