IT System Administrator

Main Job Purpose
Our Systems Administration team is growing and we are looking for additional team members who would relish the opportunity to work on technologies that’s power the enterprise industries.

About the Systems Administrator role
If you’re a motivated team player looking for an opportunity to work with many different systems and technologies, this may be the fit for you. You will be a problem solver and a collaborator with good communication skills and the ability to work with teams from different organizations.

Here are some of the core functions as Systems Administrator:

• Manage the internal infrastructure environment. The infrastructure is highly virtualized and incorporates many different technologies including, Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, Dell, VMware and EMC
• Respond to requests for hardware, software or network support
• Manage software and operating system deployments, configurations, and updates and lifecycles
• Work with the wider infrastructure team to deliver infrastructure projects in line with the technical roadmap across multiple technologies and platforms
•Understand and improve/support monitoring infrastructure
•Produce appropriate documentation
•Work to Service Level Agreements to manage uptime and performance of both systems and services
•Required for on-call

Beneficial Knowledge but not essentially certified:
• Linux experience (LPIC)
• VMware VCP-DCV certificate
• Microsoft MCSA certificate
• Azure certificates
• VMWare Horizons
• MS SQL/Oracle DB
• Containers (Docker)
